Cette semaine, c’est le partage de mes coups de coeur de chansons d’été. Celles qui font monter le mercure, celles qui restent dans la tête, celles qu’on abuse jusqu’à l’usure et qu’on enlève de son téléphone en septembre! J’ai volontairement enlevé de ma liste « I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times) » de Jamie xx et « Lean On » de Major Lazer, car elles figurent déjà sur les playlists (folles malades mentales) de Mélodie.
This week, I’m sharing my favorite summer songs. The ones who help rising the temperature, the ones who stay stuck in your head all day long, the ones that we listen to too many times, and that we will delete come September! I didn’t include Jamie xx’s « I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times) » or « Lean On » by Major Lazer, because they we’re already in Mélodie’s supra dupa fly mixtapes.

Misdemeanor est de retour! Ce n’est peut-être pas la meilleure chanson au monde, mais Missy x Diplo, c’est une collab qu’on attend depuis 2006! Il était grand temps! Un peu trop EDM pour notre Missy, mais on adore quand même! GET UR FREAK ON Y’ALL!

ALISON WONDERLAND – I Want U
J’ai découvert récemment, Alison Wonderland et n’importe quelle chanson de son album Run, aurait pu être dans cette liste. Il y a 3/4 de tonne de basses là-dessus et ça fesse, à mon plus grand plaisir! D’ailleurs, on risque d’entendre I Want U dans une pub de char dans 4-5 ans. #lol
I recently discovered Alison Wonderland and every track of her debut album Run could have been on this list. There’s enough bass on here to kick my butt and its perfect like that! I’m sure we’ll hear I Want U in a car commercial in 4 or 5 years. #lol

HUDSON MOHAWKE – Pleasure
Cette chanson, je la ressors chaque été! Je suis incapable de m’en passer! Ce remix de Janet est du vrai bonbon et, d’ailleurs, cette dernière devrait vraiment insister pour passer un peu de temps dans un studio avec ce beatmaker de l’équipe de Kanye West.
I play this song every summer! I just can’t get enough! This Janet remix is a real pleasure and she should really ask for some studio time with the beatmaker, who is part of the Kanye West family.

MADONNA – Bitch I’m Madonna (feat. Nicki Minaj)
La vraie star de cette chanson c’est Diplo et non la dame de la pop. Peter Wentz s’est gâté en grand avec cette production. C’est surtout Madonna qui s’efface entre lui et Nicki Minaj. D’ailleurs, on pourrait facilement imaginer ce rôle interchangé: un duo M.I.A. x Nicki Minaj ou même Miley Cirus, Katy Perry ferait plus jaser. Laissons de côté le clip, c’est un plaisir auditif et non visuel.
The real star on this track is Diplo and not the grand dame of pop. Peter Wentz most likely really pleased himself with this one. Madonna is the one we really notice here, not compared to him and Nicki Minaj. This track could easily be a M.I.A. x Nicki Minaj thing, or Madge could be replaced by Miley Cirus or Katy Perry and it would probably be a bigger hit. Enjoy the track, not the visual.
