mixtape // JUIN 2014

Après quelques problèmes avec l’internet qui nous a trollées, voici le mixtape du mois!

Avec mon nouvel emplois, j’écoute beaucoup moins de musique en travaillant, il va de soi que je fais moins de découvertes. Ça faisait donc longtemps que je n’avais pas eu autant de coups de coeur en simultané! Fidèles à notre habitude, Mélodie et moi on vous a choisi des chansons qui vont pas mal dans tous les sens: du folk (la nouvelle de Angus and Julia Stone c’est du bonbon), du hip hop (le morceau de The Roots est enivrant au max), du pop de tous genres, etc… Y’a des artistes bien connus; Sam Roberts, MC Solaar, The Dø… et des rookies moins connus comme Misun, Camp Claude, Float Fall et Tomas Barfod. Quand Mélo m’a montré sa liste, je me suis exclamée de joie « Yay! Y’à y’a plein de noms que je connais pas! », parce que je sais que je vais toujours trouver des bijoux à travers ce qu’elle déniche et je crois bien que le sentiment est réciproque. Alors voilà, un autre mix rempli de bonheur que j’ai bien hâte de faire jouer en me faisant bronzé au parc. Bonne écoute!

Here is is, after a few technical hiccups with the Internet playing games on us!

With the new job, I don’t listen to as much music while I work, it’s no surprise that I don’t discover as much new music as I use to. So it had been a while since I had obsessed over that many songs simultaneously. True to our habit, Melody and I chose songs that go all over the place: some folk (the new Angus and Julia Stone is delicious), some hip hop (The Roots‘ new song is intoxicating), pop music of all sorts, etc… There’s a few well-known artists; Sam Roberts, MC Solaar, The Dø… and a few lesser-known industry rookies like Misun, Camp Claude, Float Fall and Tomas Barfod. When Melo showed me her list, I joyfully said « Yay! There are lots of artists I’ve never heard of », because I know I always find gems in what she’s discovered in the month, and I think that the feeling is mutual. So here’s another mix filled with happiness that I cannot wait to play while chilling in the park. Enjoy!
