mixtape // Osheaga 2014

Depuis la toute première édition d’Osheaga en 2006 avec Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Flaming Lips, Malajube… Je n’ai pas manqué une seule journée de ce rassemblement musical. Cette année, encore, je serai fidèle au poste, prête à affronter les foules d’ontariens en cami V-neck aux couleurs pastel et d’adolescentes déchaînées, ornées de couronnes de fleurs. Pourquoi tant d’acharnement? Pour l’amour des festivals en général, et surtout pour le line up d’artistes présents durant un seul week-end. Alors tant pis les longues files aux toilettes chimiques et les odeurs de tout genre. Je me lance le défi, tel un week-end canot-camping avec en prime des bands de feu, des fourmis dans les jambes, et des feux d’artifices entre amis.

Since its very first edition in 2006, with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Flaming Lips, Malajube… I haven’t miss a day of the musical gathering. This year again, I will faithfully be attending, ready to face the crowds of Ontarians wearing their favourite pastel V-necks and raging teenagers decorated with flower crowns. Why am I so relentless? For the love of festivals in general, and especially for the line up of artists present during this single weekend. So bring on the long queues for the port-a-potties and odors of all kind. I’m up for the challenge, as I would be for a canoe trip weekend, with the added bonus of awesome bands, pins and needles in the legs, and the inevitable fireworks between friends.
